Hi,
We are in the process of installing the BI 4.1 platform (Business Objects) and would like to use the Metadata (called in old days) feature to have Impact & Lineage functionality in our platform. We don't want to use the Information Steward or Data Profiling functionality all we need is Metapedia and metadata (impact & lineage) functionality.
We need to understand what is best way to deploy this in terms of architecture and do we need to worry about the Data services as I believe the new product set DS and IS works very closely, but to extract the Metadata out of BO do we need to consider DS.
Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated, we are installing the latest version BO 4.1 SP4 Patch 1.
